Privacy Policy

Last updated October 20, 2026

The short version

We want to make your privacy as clear and simple as possible. We do not sell your personal information, we do not require you to create an account or post comments, though our free masterclass sign-up does ask for a first name and email address. When you make a purchase, it is processed securely by Stripe without us ever seeing your card details.

We do use some advertising and measurement tools to help us reach couples who need our help, and we want you to have full control over that. Depending on where you live, these tools may be turned off by default, and anyone can easily adjust their settings or turn off cookies and similar tools.

Who we are

Healing Together ("we" and "us") is a coaching and education business created by Dr. Carol Conrad, a licensed psychologist, and Alissa Wakefield. Our website is located at healingtogetherirt.com.

What we collect and why

We keep this website simple and private. There are no user accounts or comment sections here. When you want to reach us, you do so by clicking our email links or calling us directly. We use the email addresses, phone numbers, and any message details you share with us solely to respond to your inquiries and help you. Masterclass sign-up details are handled as described below.

Our website hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes standard technical data like your IP address and browser type. This is necessary to deliver the website to your device safely and protect our site from security threats.

Advertising and measurement

To help us measure our marketing efforts and reach people who could benefit from our programs, we use Google Analytics (to understand how people use the site and which pages help), the Google tag (which also measures Google Ads conversions, including purchases), and the Whop Pixel (for tracking page views and campaign attribution). We also save advertising click IDs and campaign parameters (UTM parameters) from the link you used to arrive on our site so we can see which campaigns are working.

These tools utilize cookies and identifiers, including Google's analytics and advertising cookies (such as _ga, _gcl_au and _gcl_aw) and Whop's own identifiers. If you buy a ticket to our Relationship Workshop or our membership and Stripe makes your email address available to us, we may share it with Google in hashed (scrambled) form, only if you have allowed advertising cookies. Google uses it to confirm that an advertisement led to a purchase (this is called enhanced conversions).

We also use the Meta pixel from Meta Platforms (Facebook and Instagram) to measure our advertising and to reach people who may be interested in our programs. In the EEA, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, the Meta pixel loads only if you accept advertising cookies in our cookie banner. Elsewhere it loads by default unless you decline advertising cookies or your browser sends the Global Privacy Control signal. Once it loads, it records page views and one event when you sign up for our free masterclass (named masterclass_signup) and one event when you sign up by email on our checkout page (named checkout_email_signup). We do not attach your name, your email address or other signup form details to either event. Meta may use its own cookies and identifiers under its own privacy policy. You can review or change how Meta uses your activity for ads in your Meta ad preferences at facebook.com/adpreferences/ad_settings.

Under some US state laws, using these measurement tools to show you tailored ads may be considered 'sharing' your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We never sell your personal information for money, and we make it easy for you to opt out of this sharing.

We also keep a few small items in your browser: your privacy choice (kept in your browser's storage and also in a small necessary cookie called ht_consent, which lasts one year and holds only the word granted or denied so our server can respect your choice; it never sets or reads anything else), and the campaign parameters from the link you arrived on, which we keep for the length of your visit so a purchase can be matched to a campaign. Advertising click IDs are only saved if you have allowed advertising cookies. After a quiz sign-up we set a 10-minute cookie, ht_quiz_ev, that holds two random numbers so the sign-up is only counted once; it contains nothing about you or your answers.

When you sign up for the masterclass or the quiz guide, we also save the campaign tags from the link you came from (such as which ad or post it was). If you have accepted advertising cookies, that includes the ad click ID (fbclid). We use them only to learn which of our posts and ads bring people who find the program useful.

Your choices

We respect your privacy choices and use Google Consent Mode v2 to manage cookies based on where you are located.

If you are visiting from the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, advertising and analytics cookies are turned off by default. They will only run if you actively accept them in our cookie banner. If you are visiting from elsewhere, they are turned on by default.

No matter where you are, you can change your mind and update your settings at any time by clicking the 'Your privacy choices' link in our website footer. If your browser sends the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we treat it as a request to opt out: advertising cookies stay off unless you choose to accept them in our banner.

If you decline, Google Consent Mode still lets Google receive basic, cookie-free signals, for example that a page was viewed. These do not store anything on your device and are not used to personalize advertising. If you decline advertising cookies, the Meta pixel does not load at all and nothing is sent to Meta.

Purchases and payments

Our educational and coaching programs—including the Relationship Workshop, our membership, and our couples retreats—are paid for through Stripe (stripe.com). Purchases made before our move to Stripe were handled by Whop (whop.com).

For your convenience, the checkout form for the Relationship Workshop, our membership and coach-time packs is embedded directly on our pages. However, Stripe collects, processes, and handles your payment details under its own terms and privacy policy. We never see, receive, or store your credit card numbers.

Stripe handles payment receipts, and we send your confirmation emails ourselves. Stripe provides us with certain transaction details (such as your email address, the payment amount, and a payment ID) so we can confirm your purchase and measure the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns.

Free masterclass sign-up

When you sign up for our free masterclass on our /masterclass page, we collect your first name and email address. We store them in our own database and in Resend, the email service we use to send messages. We use them to send you the masterclass link and occasional notes from Dr. Carol and Alissa.

You can stop these emails any time by replying 'unsubscribe' to any of them or using the unsubscribe link where one is included. To ask us to delete your name and email address, email dr.carol@healingtogetherirt.com.

To help block abuse of the sign-up form, we keep an anonymized (hashed) form of your IP address for a short time.

Workshop tickets and text reminders

When you buy a ticket to the Relationship Workshop, we keep the details needed to run it: your name, email address, the ticket you bought (and whether you added the VIP hour), which workshop you chose, the campaign link you arrived from, and the confirmation you gave that the workshop is a fit for you. We use them to send your confirmation, your join link and your reminders, and to follow up after the workshop. Payment details stay with Stripe. Your card is saved with Stripe, not by us, only so that you can add the optional VIP hour with one click after you buy; we use it for nothing else.

Text reminders are optional. At checkout you may tick a separate box, which is never ticked for you and is not a condition of buying, and give a mobile number so we can text reminders about the workshop you bought. Message and data rates may apply. We do not send marketing texts, and we do not sell or share your number for anyone else's marketing. Reply STOP to any message to opt out at any time, HELP for help, or email dr.carol@healingtogetherirt.com. We record when you opt out and stop texting you.

If you buy the membership, you may enter a partner's name and email address so they can be given access too. We use that address only for that purpose.

Email on our checkout pages

On some of our checkout pages we may ask for your first name and email address before payment. You can skip this step by choosing 'No thanks, take me straight to payment', and nothing is collected if you do.

If you share them, we store them the same way as the masterclass sign-up (in our own database and in Resend), and your address joins the same list as our masterclass sign-ups. We do not send an email at sign-up. We use them to send occasional notes from Dr. Carol and Alissa. You can unsubscribe any time by replying 'unsubscribe' to any of them, or email dr.carol@healingtogetherirt.com and ask us to delete them.

So that we do not ask you again, we set a cookie in your browser. If you skip, a cookie remembers that for 7 days. If you sign up, the same cookie we use for the free masterclass is set, plus a 10-minute cookie that carries the first name you just typed so we can fill in the name box on the same page. To help block abuse of the form, we keep an anonymized (hashed) form of your IP address for a short time.

Quiz

Our relationship quiz on /quiz asks seven questions about how you and your partner handle tense moments. From your answers we work out your pattern type and a simple score of how well the program may fit you, and we save the answers, the type and that result in our own database. We do not ask for your name or email to take the quiz, and we never share your quiz answers with advertising platforms.

At the end, you can share your first name and email address to receive your free guide and the masterclass. If you do, we store them with your quiz result, add them to Resend, the email service we use, along with your quiz type and fit result, and use them to send your guide and a short series of follow-up emails (up to five over about a week), and occasional notes from Dr. Carol and Alissa. You can unsubscribe from any of them with one click. The same cookie we use for the free masterclass is set so the masterclass opens for you. You can skip this step by choosing 'No thanks, just show me my result', and no name or email is collected if you do. If you sign up after the quiz, we also tell Meta (the company behind Facebook and Instagram) that a sign-up happened and, if the quiz suggests the program may be a good fit for you, a second note saying so, using a hashed (scrambled) form of your email address and never your answers, your pattern type or your score, and this follows your cookie choice.

To remember your result while you use the quiz, we set a cookie in your browser that lasts 30 days, so you can come back and see your result. We keep quiz answers until they are no longer needed to run and improve the quiz, or until you ask us to delete them. You can stop our emails any time by replying 'unsubscribe' to any of them, or email dr.carol@healingtogetherirt.com and ask us to delete your quiz answers, name and email address. To help block abuse of the quiz, we keep an anonymized (hashed) form of your IP address for a short time.

Videos and other services we use

Some of our pages show videos hosted on YouTube. On some pages a thumbnail image loads first and the YouTube player loads only when you press play. On our Start Today page, the main video's player loads when you reach it and may start playing muted. Whenever a YouTube player loads, YouTube may set its own cookies and collect information under its own privacy policy.

How long we keep information

We retain your emails, communication records, and purchase details only for as long as they are needed to fulfill the coaching and educational purposes described in this policy, or as required by applicable laws.

Your rights

You are welcome to ask us to access, correct, or delete any personal information we hold about you. If you are a resident of certain US states (like California) or live in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, you have specific legal rights regarding your personal data.

To make a request, please email us. We will respond within 30 days, and if we need more time we will tell you why.

Children

Our website and programs are not directed to children under the age of 13 (or under 16 where required by local law). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Not therapy

Healing Together is strictly an education and coaching service. It is explicitly not psychotherapy, clinical mental health treatment, or a substitute for professional therapy.

Our programs and site are not designed for, and should not be used by, anyone dealing with an active crisis, domestic violence, severe addiction, or an active affair. Because our services are not clinical, we ask that you do not send sensitive health or clinical information to us by email. If you are in crisis or thinking about harming yourself, call or text 988 in the US.

Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time to reflect changes in our website or how we operate. When we do, we will post the updated policy on this page with a new date.
